My Personal Journey with Greg

Back in 2006, Greg was referred to me by a mutual friend, Loretta. When I first receivĀ­ed his call, I thought it was probably one of those calls that I get from people trying to sell me something.

I told him to call me back in a years’ time because I was trying to brush him off and hopefully, never to hear from him again. In Oct 2007, I received a call from Greg and he said that I have asked him to follow up one year later. He kept to his promise, but I have totally forgotten who this person is. Since he seems SINCERE enough to remember me after one year and really stayed true to his words, I thought it’s time for me to meet him.

I met Greg in Oct 2007. He was filled with PASSION about what he did and he went through an understanding of who I am and what it is I really wanted to achieve in my life. I don’t know how, but he has the ability to LISTEN to what is not spoken, not seen, but what lies within the heart of a person. Never once did he even talk about the products he was selling. He also tried to find out in depth how much I knew about planning before he presented it to me in a very PERSONALIZED way. He was confident and through his understanding about me, knew that it was because of my parents that led me to do this planning on my own. Through the process, he was HONEST about what the strengths and weaknesses he has in his work and company.

Most of my friends’ advisors lost touch with them the moment the sale was made. With Greg, it was different. He kept in constant COMMUNICATION with me by educating and inspiring me all the way even till now. I subsequently referred my 2 closest friends to Greg and he has gone on to helping not just them, but their families and close friends as well. I truly appreciate his expertise and his very sincere yet PROFESSIONAL approach.

At a very tender age of 29, in Nov 2008, I discovered that I had lymphoma. My first question was “Could I insure myself more when I get cured?” Unfortunately, I knew that when a person has a medical history, he’ll not be able to be insured or will be excluded from his historical conditions. If he’s lucky, he’ll just pay higher premiums with exclusions. Greg was very PROMPT in responding and took priority in ensuring that help was rendered where required. Once again, he kept to his promise of ensuring that he did his level best to help me in to alleviate my otherwise painful financial pain my family and myself would have to bear.

If I could turn back in time, I definitely would have insured myself at a higher level. At least, I do not have to worry about the financial aspect of an illness. It would also give me certainty about my future.

Greg has been an inspiration and I would highly recommend him to the people I know! Loretta has done me a favour by referring me to Greg and I would like to pay it forward to refer those around me to him as well, because I know for sure he’s RELIABLE, and he’ll do a great job in ensuring lives for the people he works with and my friends will thank me for it, just like how Loretta has reached out to touch my life!

To whoever you are, please spend some time with Greg to get to know him. I’m sure you’ll not regret meeting him and building the relationship with him. After meeting him, not only have I changed my PERCEPTION about financial planners, I don’t see him as a salesperson, but I see him as a person impacting lives with passion, one after another.
